-May 11 2002 After years of shooting Tarus, Rugers and Smiths, I went with an open mind to a range to try out a Glock 21 and a Sig P220. The Glock was nice and simple, easy on the trigger (with a few clips to get used to it) but the Sig P220, for me, held a much tighter group, and came back-to-target somewhat better, and had a better "feel". Being a southpaw, it also worked with me better than the G21. After a few boxes each, my choice is the Sig. Considering a new toy? Do what I did and do a head-to-head test yourself. In short, the Sig is astounding. Details..

-4/26/2002 The rating 5-Good just doesn't do this pistol justice. Where's 10-Perfect? As P220 believer said, nothing beats this beautiful piece of engineering in terms of accuracy straight out of the box. And since I added a Hogue Handall grip sleeve, it points and recovers even better. I far prefer this gun to any other production .45 out there (though the USP is also very good, but more expensive). I liked this mine so well, I bought the P245 (it's little brother) for concealed carry. It's also a real beauty to shoot. Details..
